PRACTICE OVERVIEW
Ebru Bostancıoğlu, LLB, MA, CIArb, is a Turkish attorney, mediator, arbitrator, and legal educator with over 27 years of professional experience in the legal field and nearly 16 years of specialisation in mediation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
She is a Qualified Civil & Commercial Mediator certified by the ADR Group (UK) and holds an International Arbitration Certificate from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb, London). Ebru is also a licensed trademark and patent attorney with extensive expertise in commercial law, intellectual property law, family law, civil law, real estate law, consumer protection law, and labor law. Her academic and legal background is enriched by her multidisciplinary focus, combining law with communication, psychology, and education to offer a people-centered and integrative approach to conflict resolution. She is an experienced mediator who has successfully handled hundreds of mediation cases in commercial, civil, and other legal fields.
She has served as a lecturer at various universities in Turkey, delivering courses in mediation, conciliation, negotiation, arbitration, communication, and expert witness training. Authorised by the Turkish Ministry of Justice, she has contributed to the education of numerous legal professionals and has played a leading role in fostering collaboration between Turkish and international ADR communities.
Depending on the nature of the dispute, she adapts her mediation style from facilitative to evaluative, and is committed to providing sustainable, constructive, and resolution-oriented outcomes for all parties involved.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Ebru has led numerous mediation and arbitration processes in commercial, labor, intellectual property, and family law disputes. She has served as legal counsel to major financial institutions and commercial clients, worked as a contracted attorney, and prepared detailed expert witness reports for courts in unfair competition and Intellectual Property cases. She has also delivered expert witness training courses at Turkish universities on behalf of the Ministry of Justice.
Ebru has provided international arbitration and mediation services in commercial disputes involving both Turkish and foreign parties. She served as a General Assembly Member of the Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC) and is recognized among the qualified trainers and a mediator in mediation within that institution.
She has been appointed as a university lecturer by the Turkish Ministry of Justice to teach mediation, conciliation, communication, and expert witness methodology at Istanbul Okan University, Istanbul Commerce University, Gedik University, and Maltepe University, among others. She also previously taught law courses at the Institute of Social Sciences of Istanbul University and voluntarily led early childhood education programs for many years.
As a certified international arbitration professional by CIArb, she is actively engaged in global ADR training programs and currently works on projects to strengthen collaboration between Turkish legal professionals and international conflict resolution institutions—especially in the fields of family mediation and commercial arbitration.
